Cookie Information

The editorial pages work without advertising cookies, analytics cookies or saved visitor profiles.

What the site code uses

The supplied HTML, CSS and JavaScript do not set cookies or use localStorage or sessionStorage. The navigation menu, country tabs, disclosures and scroll effects keep their temporary state in the current page. Reloading the page resets those features.

No analytics, advertising, social-media embeds or third-party font libraries are included in the editorial code. Supporting images are served as local site assets rather than requested from an external image service.

What cookies are

Cookies are small pieces of information stored by a browser and sent with relevant website requests. Other storage mechanisms, including localStorage, can retain information without sending it automatically with each request. Neither mechanism is required by the editorial features described here.

The contact composer is different

Your draft is held in the open page while you use the tool. Copying text writes to the clipboard at your request; downloading creates a text file on your device. These actions are not cookies. Browser autofill or session restoration may retain form values according to your settings, independently of the site’s own code.

Hosting and service layers

Hosting, security or separately managed consent services can operate outside the editorial files. Any such service should disclose its own storage and, where required, obtain consent before using non-essential technologies. This page does not claim to inventory infrastructure that is not defined in the editorial site code.

External websites

Following a source link takes you to another website, where different cookie and privacy rules may apply. A direct email link opens your chosen email application or service. Review those services’ notices if you need to understand their storage behaviour.

Your browser controls

You can inspect and remove site data through your browser’s privacy settings, restrict cookies and manage clipboard permissions. Clearing site data does not delete a text file you downloaded or a message you sent through an email service. Those items must be managed separately.
